WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A West Lafayette teenager was in the hospital Sunday night after witnesses tell police he fell asleep while driving.
Tippecanoe County Sheriff Tracy Brown said it happened just before 7 Sunday morning, in the 2200 block of State Road 43 North.
Brown said a car driven by 19-year-old Gregory Woods was headed south when it went off the road and crashed into a tree.
Brown said Woods was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
