INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) - The 2013 Indiana State Fair begins Friday, Aug. 2 and runs through Aug. 18. This year's theme is "Year of the Popcorn."
The theme is in celebration of Indiana's long tradition of producing the popular snack. In fact, Indiana is the nation's second largest popcorn producing state.
At this year's fair, you can enjoy food, fun, music and of course, carnival rides. Deep-fried Girl Scout cookies will be among this year's fair food items. Admission at the gate is $10 for adults and children five and younger are free. Discounted tickets are available and you can check the fair's schedule of events for special days and deals. Check out the state fair website for more information.
