GREATER LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Older adults were offered free flu shots and health screenings at the Greater Lafayette Senior Fair on Wednesday.
The Greater Lafayette Senior Fair took place inside the hog barn at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. Many booths were lined up offering free information and free health screenings. The screenings included checking for hearing loss and blood glucose levels.
Greater Lafayette Senior Fair Committee President, Julie Pope, said there were prizes and live entertainment.
“It's important to support seniors and have that acknowledgement and knowledge that they're out there and they need help. They need services just like anyone else,” said Pope.
Pope said this was the 14th year for the Greater Lafayette Senior Fair. She said it takes a year to plan for it.
