WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A woman was injured in a crash in West Lafayette Wednesday morning.
It happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of North River Road and Robinson Street. Lt. Bill Gallagher with the West Lafayette Police Department (WLPD) told News 18 the woman was leaving the Williamsburg on the Wabash Apartment complex in her SUV. That's when the driver of a semi truck headed north on River Road, disregarded a red light at the Robinson Street intersection. The semi struck the SUV.
The woman was taken to IU Health Arnett Hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt but was cited for the crash.
Traffic was down to one lane in both directions while crews worked to clear the scene.
