INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) - State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Glenda Ritz (D), is scheduled to hold a news conference Monday.
The news conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Indiana Statehouse. Ritz will address the ISTEP+ review process, according to a news release provided by her office.
During this year's ISTEP+, roughly 70,000 exams were interrupted because of technical issues. The issues prompted some school officials to call for this year's tests to be ruled invalid. The ISTEP+ carries more importance due to legislation tying the results to teacher pay and money for school districts.
Results from this year's ISTEP+ aren't expected until July. The Department of Education (DOE) has ordered an outside review of the testing process.
