NORTH SALEM, Ind. (WISH) - A weak tornado struck Hendricks County early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
An EF-0 tornado touched down in North Salem, meaning wind speeds were around 85 mph.
Some roof and tree damage was visible in the area.
A line of storms moved through the area between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. NWS officials said the tornado touched down around 2:40 a.m. Many people were left without power as a result of the storms. The storm threat continues Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
The NWS plans to survey the Roachdale area to determine if damage there is also from a tornado.
