TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - October 21-27 is Red Ribbon Week in Tippecanoe County. The week-long program provides fun drug-free events for children wearing a red ribbon.
The events are open to school children of all ages and are either free or discounted.
Every night during Red Ribbon Week offers a fun drug-free outing for the entire family. Monday, October 21 is a free skate night from Skate America. Kids with Red Ribbon gear get free admission and $3 dollar skate rental from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Kids can get a $5 unlimited game of golf and ten game tokens at Monster Mini-Golf Tuesday, October 22.
On Wednesday, October 23 families with Red Ribbon Gear get 10 percent off at Puccini's.
Head to Market Square Lanes on Thursday, October 24 for $1.50 games and free shoe rental.
Friday, October 25 offers a free game of bowling with shoes included at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This offer is valid for students only.
And finally kids can catch a free movie and get discounts at the concession stands on October 26 and 27. Free showings of Turbo will take place at Eastside 9, Wabash Landing 9 and Lafayette 7 at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Kate Kerrigan, Director of the Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County, says kids will also participate in a bookmark design contest at school. The winners will be recognized by the coalition during a breakfast on October 21.
