TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A red light runner caused a two-car crash on the south side of Tippecanoe County Friday.
The wreck happened at the intersection of U.S. 231 and County Road 500 South shortly before 6 p.m.
Sheriff's deputies say the driver of a Jeep was heading south on 231 when she ran the red light, crashing into a minivan crossing 500 South. The crash forced the van off the road and into a light pole.
Deputies say a passenger in the Jeep was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. One additional passenger and both drivers were checked out at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was cited for disregarding the traffic light.
