Crashes near Lafayette:
A crash has been reported on I-65 near the State Road 38 exit in Lafayette. Initial reports indicate that the crash took place in the southbound lanes and involves a semi and a state trooper's vehicle .

I-65 Road Conditions:
The Lafayette District road report, which includes White, Carroll, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain, Warren, Benton and Tippecanoe Counties is still reporting blowing and drifting snow over much of the area. Police said U.S., state and county roads are snow-covered, slick and with the blowing snow may become impassable at times. Near white-out conditions may persist throughout the day as the snow continues and the winds pick-up. County roads may become impassable due to the blowing and drifting snow.
Police said I-65 and I-74 are still snow and ice covered in areas with bridges and overpasses being especially slick and hazardous. Traffic is moving but at a slow pace.
Indiana State Police said there may be lane restrictions and traffic back-ups while troopers investigate slide-offs and crashes in other areas. Use caution and reduce speed, particularly when approaching troopers who are assisting motorists, and highway service vehicles.
