LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after colliding with a car in Lafayette Thursday.
It happened around 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of State Road 38 East and Maple Point Drive, near Pay Less.
Police say a woman got off a CityBus and attempted to cross several lanes of traffic when she hit a car driving west on 38.
The pedestrian was taken to Franciscan Saint Elizabeth East Hospital with complaints of lower leg pain.
The eastbound lanes of 38 near the crash were closed briefly while crews cleared the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
