DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) - The Delphi Opera House held one last silent film Saturday night before its renovation.
Over the past few years the Opera House has held a silent movie night around Halloween, but this year would be a bit more meaningful to many.
A special dinner was held in the Opera House Gallery before the movie.
Opera House chair Anita Werling said she is excited for the renovation, but said it won't be quite the same.
"The things I think that we'll miss will be just that kind of that old ambiance that you get when you walk up there," said Werling.
Bidding on the renovation project will begin in about a month.
Werling said they hope to start construction at the beginning of the year.
As News 18 reported in March, $2.5 million in grant money has been given to the Opera House for the renovation.
