MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) - Smoke could be seen billowing above Lake Freeman Thursday night.
Firefighters said the smoke was from a garage fire on Sheridan Road in Monticello.
It started around 9:30 p.m. Firefighters said it was spotted by a neighbor. By the time crews arrived, the garage was engulfed in flames.
Investigators said the garage and its contents, including a pickup truck and a tractor, were total losses. The cottage to the west of the garage was also damaged by the fire.
No one was injured.
Crews from the Monticello, Idaville, and Reynolds Fire Departments responded to the call. The cause remains under investigation.
