WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Got Milk? That was the question being asked on Purdue's campus Monday.
Ag Week kicked off with "Milk Monday." Purdue's Dairy Club was giving out free cartons of milk and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Dairy Club member Lori Beeker said Ag Week will help balance out some of the negative stories in the media about the agriculture industry.
"(We want to) let people know that farmers are providing a lot of what they use in their everyday lives instead of just them causing problems, like food-borne illnesses. For some people, that's all they see in the media about farming and they don't know all the good things farmers are doing for them," said Beeker.
Purdue's Ag Week runs through Friday.
Inventions were built by Purdue mechanical engineering students for a final class project.
