WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Williamsport man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Warren County.
According to Indiana State Police, Trooper Josh Edwards responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Road 263 at Tower Road around noon Sunday.
Police said 25-year-old Tyler Potts was northbound on State Road 263 on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. 74-year-old Kay Lape was southbound on 263 when she attempted to turn left onto Tower Road. Lape did not see Potts' motorcycle, and turned in front of it.
Potts was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Williamsport, where he was pronounced dead due to massive trauma to his head and chest. Police said he was wearing a helmet.
Lape was cited for failure to yield to another vehicle.
Police said traffic was shut down at the intersection for about two-and-a-half hours while police reconstructed the crash and cleaned up the scene.
