NEWTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Jasper County man is killed after a pickup truck and motorcycle collide in Newton County.
Newton County Sheriff's deputies said Sunday, Ezra Myers, 20, was eastbound on State Road 14 in his pickup truck. He attempted to turn left onto County Road 250 West. While Myers was turning, Chad Scolley, 40, was on a motorcycle and tried to pass Myers on the left.
Deputies said the motorcycle lost control and slid off the roadway, throwing both Scolley and his wife, Teresa Scolley, 44, off the motorcycle.
Chad Scolley was pronounced dead at the scene. Teresa Scolley was transported to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee. Myers refused medical treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
