WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Jordan Greenhill, 21, was given a 4-year sentence for using counterfeit money at an ice cream shop.
In April a report of a fake $20 bill at the Silver Dipper on State Street in West Lafayette led police on a pursuit into Lafayette.
Greenhill, along with Marice Brown and Keywon Dortch were taken into custody.
Prosecutors said other counterfeit bills had been passed at several other businesses for more than a month.
Surveillance footage showed Greenhill in stores like Village Pantry and Walgreens, when the counterfeit money was passed.
A female also admitted that Greenhill was making counterfeit bills at her home.
Greenhill was sentenced to 3 years in Community Corrections and 1 year of supervised probation.
