LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) - The lawsuit against the city of Logansport over the new power plant has been dismissed by a Cass County judge.
The judge ruled Wednesday that the city followed appropriate state law when receiving bids for the new power plant.
Logansport resident Julie Kitchell filed the lawsuit last month against the city, alleging officials didn't have authority to receive the bids.
The judge ruled that Logansport lawfully gave itself proper authority after the fact.
The city is currently in contract negotiations with Pyrolyzer LLC for the new power plant.
