LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Bob and Ellie Haan are opening their home Saturday so the public can get a look at their extensive art collection. What makes their collection so special is each piece was created by Indiana artists.
Groups will get a private tour to learn more about the art and the mansion that was part of the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
"I think in terms of being impressive, the center hall with the open well and the double staircase and the French doors, that's very impressive," homeowner Ellie Haan said.
"All of the paintings we have we think are really the high end of that artist's work and that's what we've tried to do," homeowner Bob Haan said.
Saturday's tours are sold out, but there are tours available in October. Tickets are $10 a person and can be purchased here .
