LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Lafayette Fire Department got a new lieutenant at the city's board of works meeting Tuesday.
Eleven-year veteran Scott Hunter was sworn in by Mayor Tony Roswarski (D).
He will be taking over at Fire Station 8, located on Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Hunter is looking forward to his new leadership role.
"(I'm looking forward to) the training opportunities. Helping my crew improve and perform up to their abilities. Having a truck of my own, too," Hunter said.
