WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - After an Associated Press report Monday details possible manipulations of the "A-to-F" grading system for schools , Democratic State Representative Sheila Klinker told News 18 the situation is indicative of what's wrong with the grading scale.
"We need to look very carefully at that "A-to-F" grading because just a few folks in one grade level that do poorly maybe on a test can change that whole grade scale," said Klinker.
Klinker said the emails reveal the pressure that school officials are under from outside forces and hopes this provides the spark to change the "A-to-F" system, a move that current Superintendent of Public Instruction
Glenda Ritz endorses.
