TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The Feast of the Hunters' Moon is this weekend at Fort Ouiatenon.
But before the big event, Feast volunteers welcomed about 500 kids with a trip back in time. Blacksmiths pounded steel and woodcarvers made table legs.
Teacher Pat Goodwine said her students learn a lot about what it was like many years ago.
"The participants here are up-close and able to answer questions," said Goodwine. "They are so good with our students. Our students get to ask questions. It's a good opportunity and learning experience for our students."
This is the 46th year for the Feast. It will open to the public on Saturday at 9 a.m. and will run all weekend.
