WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is gearing up for winter road conditions.
A job fair is being held Friday at INDOT's research office in West Lafayette. They're looking for temporary snowplow drivers from November until March.
Applicants must have a valid CDL and must be able to pass a drug test. Human resource officials say they're accepting applications online but attending the job fair will speed up the process.
Wages range from $15 to $20 an hour.
The first job fair was held Thursday in Terre Haute. Remaining job fairs:
- West Lafayette: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., October 18, 1205 Montgomery Street
- Frankfort: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., October 21, 1675 West State Road 28
- Cloverdale: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., October 22, 10 High Street
- Crawfordsville: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., October 24, 41 West 300 North
As Purdue classes end for the semester, campus bar representatives and local law enforcement met to discuss what they noticed during the semester.
