LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - An empty hospital in Lafayette is in the process of being torn down.
In November, News 18 reported the Home Hospital property had been purchased by the development group Columbian Park Redevelopment LLC.
According to Director of Lafayette Redevelopment Dennis Carson, the group is currently demolishing the interior of the main building.
"We would like to see something, obviously, that would contribute to the neighborhood and contribute to Lafayette," Carson said. "Housing would be of interest to us, some commercial would make sense. So, a variety of things and we're working pretty closely with them."
Carson says the external demolition should begin in a few weeks.
