TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County Deputies said five people were taken to the hospital Saturday night, after a car and motorcycle collided.
Deputy Elizabeth Koehler said it happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of State Road 26 East and County Road 1025 East.
Koehler said at this time, they are unsure what exactly happened. However, she said witnesses tell deputies the motorcycle went left of center, and struck the car. She said a reconstruction team is on scene, trying to determine if that is the cause.
Koehler said there were four occupants in the car, two of which were minors. The two children received minor injuries, and the two adult occupants are listed as having unknown injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle is listed as having potentially fatal injuries. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
All five were taken to St. Elizabeth East Hospital.
Koehler said the names of those involved are not being released at this time, as the investigation is on going. She said at this time, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor.
Koehler said State Road 26 E. will be closed to drivers between 900 E and 1025 E until at least 11:00 Saturday night.
