Tippecanoe County, Ind. (WLFI) - Firefighters responded to an early morning fire at a home in Tippecanoe County. The homeowners called in the fire around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The home is located in the 7100 block of North County Road 900 West. We're told the fire is believed to have started in a chimney and then it spread upstairs to the attic.
Everyone in the house was able to make it out safely, including a dog and a cat.
Heavy smoke and damage was left behind and crews say the home is destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
