KOKOMO, Ind. (WLFI) - "I want somebody to help me," said David Armstrong. "I want my daughter home."
David has spent nearly every waking moment looking for his daughter Kelly's body, since she went missing in 2011.
"It's taken me two years to find the truth, but I know today, right now, what the truth is," David said.
That's because he recently received information on his cell phone from an undisclosed source. That source, David said, spilled it all.
"Who was there, exactly what he did, and the reason he was there," said David. "He knows where Kelly's at."
In 2012, Kelly's boyfriend Travis Funke admitted to police he killed her with a hammer inside their mobile home.
In February, he was granted a plea deal, but in return, he had to tell police where her body was. That never happened.
David said Travis isn't the only one who knows.
"There's more than one person that can validate this," David said.
He believes fear is keeping them from coming forward. So now, he's trying to make it easier by more than doubling his previous reward of $5,000 to $11,000.
"The tip has to come through me, and tell me where my daughter's at," David said. "If that's where my daughter is, and I recover her remains and it's verified it is her, I will release the money."
David said he only wants one thing for his daughter.
"I'm hoping to set a headstone," said David. "That's all she needs is a final resting place."
As for Funke?
"I've got nothing for that guy," said David. "Nothing at all."
David said tips can be anonymous.
He said he has taken the phone, and it's contents to the Kokomo Police Department, but nothing has been done. News 18 reached out to the Kokomo Police Department Monday for comment.
