HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (WLFI) - There's no doubt how important a presidential debate can be to a campaign. But the moments following the debate can be just as crucial.
Rosalee Clawson, Purdue's Political Science Department Head, said it's important to look at what happens in the spin room afterwards. The spin room is where all the candidates and their campaign teams talk to the press about what happened during the debate.
Clawson says during this time, the campaign teams can influence how people perceive the debate.
"It's really important for the campaigns to influence the debate and the discussion that happens on TV, in the blogosphere because they really want to frame the debate to make the case that their guy won," Clawson said.
News 18 wants to know what you thought about the debate. We have a poll on our website asking, "Who did better with expressing his ideas and convincing voters?"
