TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Three people are taken to the hospital after a drunk driver crashes into a ditch.
It happened around 6:30 Friday evening in the 1900 block of State Road 25 West.
Tippecanoe County Sheriff Tracy Brown said a car driven by 31-year-old Terry Jackson of Battle Ground was traveling East on State Road 25 West at a high rate of speed. That's when the car ran off the road and crashed into a ditch.
A 3-year-old and a 9-year-old were in the car at the time of the crash.
Brown said Jackson's blood alcohol content registered at above a .15.
All three occupants were transported to St. Elizabeth Central and treated for minor injuries.
Jackson was arrested and booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail for six charges, including operating while intoxicated with a child less than 18 years of age.
