LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A portion of Kossuth Street in Lafayette closed Monday morning after a driver hit a utility pole at the intersection of Fourth and Kossuth.
It happened just after 3:30 early Monday morning. According to a witness, the driver tried to leave the scene but was told by police to stay where he was due to live power lines.
Police did call Duke Energy. The driver did not appear to have any injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
Kossuth Street from Fourth to Fifth streets were closed for several hours for cleanup.
