FOUNTAIN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Indiana State Police said distracted driving caused a crash involving a car and a dump truck.
Police said 32-year-old Michael Tempco of Louisville was either reviewing a contract and/or using a cell phone when he hit the back of a large Indiana Department of Transportation dump truck in the left lane of I-74 near the Covington exit.
The driver of the dump truck, 69-year-old David Kellar of Mellott, Indiana was taken to a Crawfordsville Hospital with a complain of pain.
Tempco was also taken to a hospital in Danville, Illinois for a complain of pain.
Tempco was cited for unsafe lane movement.
