WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A vehicle malfunction may be to blame for a crash that shut down State Road 43 in White County Friday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. just south of Brookston.
The driver told deputies his car wouldn't stop accelerating. The car sideswiped a guard rail before the driver used the emergency break, sending the car across the road into another guard rail.
Deputies said the driver was taken to the hospital with minor neck and back injuries.
State Road 43 was shut down for about half an hour while crews cleared the scene.
