TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Over the weekend a massive fire took hold at Industrial Pallet Corporation's Clarks Hill, Ind., location.
As we reported in our original story, more than 130 firefighters and 22 departments responded to the devastating fire.
UPDATE: On Monday Industrial Pallet Corp. sent out this public statement:
First we would like to give our sincerest thanks to the firefighters and first responders that worked tirelessly through the night to extinguish the fire.
Their diligent efforts spared a significant amount of inventory that will allow us to continue to serve our customers until temporary operations can resume.
The damage from the fire was contained to the pallet recycling operation and the new pallet manufacturing operation was unaffected.
We are in the process of setting up a temporary location for the recycling operation and expect to be back in full production by mid week.
We appreciate our dedicated team of employees, our customers, our suppliers and the support we have already felt from the community.
Together we will rebuild and continue to grow the company.
