LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Local government continues to work through the federal government shutdown.
"The concern that everybody has, I think it's unanimous, is the disillusionment of our elected officials in Washington D.C. to do the things we've asked them to do," Lafayette Board of Works President Gary Henriott said.
Henriott started the meeting Tuesday with a quick comment about the shutdown.
Henriott said the shutdown does not yet affect the way local government works.
"The city government continues to pay our bills. We continue to review our contracts and agreements and do the things that we need to do to keep our local economy and local government moving forward," said Henriott.
