WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Formal charges were filed Thursday morning against two Purdue football players accused of stealing from Kohl's at the Tippecanoe Mall last month.
BJ Knauf and Jordan Woods were both booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail on September 30, 2013.
Police said the two redshirt freshman wide receivers are accused of stealing two $20 tie clips.
Knauf faced a two game suspension and was benched for the game against Nebraska.
He'll miss this weekend's game at Michigan State.
Knauf will be back in action following the bye week at home against Ohio State on November 2.
Woods was suspended indefinitely because of prior incidents.
The two men will appear in front of a judge for the first time November 18.
It's been nearly a month since a tornado damaged Southwestern Middle School and Mintonye Elementary School, giving faculty the task of helping students transition to their new surroundings.
Donations are being accepted to help around 300 seniors receive a holiday gift.
Donations are needed for Food Finders Food Bank to aim at matching a grant that would match funds up to $20,000.
