WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Formal charges have been filed for three people accused of robbing a White County bank and then leading authorities on a 13-mile pursuit.
White County Prosecutor Bob Guy said Jason Roar of Indianapolis and Derek Core of Bunker Hill are facing robbery charges after they robbed the Farmers State Bank in Brookston on Tuesday.
Guy said Omika Thurman of Merrillville was driving the getaway car and is facing aiding with robbery charges.
After the three got away with an undisclosed amount of money, state troopers and deputies caught up with them on State Road 43.
The pursuit continued throughout White County and ended at the roundabout on Old State Road 25 in Tippecanoe County.
Guy said there are allegations the vehicle used was a stolen vehicle from Tippecanoe County.
He says there could be more charges filed as the investigation continues.
The three suspects are still behind bars at the White County jail.
Guy said they're scheduled to appear in front of a judge for the first time on Thursday.
