LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette man accidentally crashed his car into the retaining wall of a fire station Friday afternoon.
According to Lafayette resident William Barry, he was in his car traveling south on 18th Street just north of South Street early Friday afternoon when he hit the curb, lost control of the car and crashed into the retaining wall of Fire Station No. 3.
He was not injured and no other vehicles were involved, but southbound 18th Street was blocked temporarily while crews cleaned up his mangled car.
The street is back open and Barry was not charged with anything by police on the scene.
