TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A bus driver was cited and another person sent to the hospital after a car T-boned a bus in Tippecanoe County Wednesday afternoon.
It all happened between 3:30 and 4 p.m. at U.S. 52 and Morehouse Road.
According to witnesses, a Copper Beech/Baywater Townhomes bus ran a red light and a blue passenger car collided right into the bus' side. Deputies say the bus driver is at fault, and the driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic signal.
Two people were on the bus, a driver and a resident. Neither of them were injured.
The driver of the blue car was injured and sent to the hospital, but a Tippecanoe County Sheriff's deputy said those injuries were not life-threatening.
