LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Later this month, people will be stretching women's underwear across a bridge to raise awareness for breast cancer screenings.
This is the fourth year for the YWCA's Bras Across the Wabash.
On October 29 at 6 p.m. you can gather at the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge to stretch bras from Lafayette to West Lafayette and back.
Coordinator for the YWCA Women's Cancer Program Heidi Kauffman said one of the emcees for the event really gets into it.
"Shamus is passionate about it and he's decided to do it," said Kauffman. "We totally support him in that. I go and talk about our program and how if you need help paying for something then you can call us. It's just a fun thing to do."
Shamus and Annie from K-105 will emcee the event.
You can donate bras at the YWCA or at K-105.
Inventions were built by Purdue mechanical engineering students for a final class project.
