LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - People's Brewing Company owner Chris Johnson and his crew are getting their beer ready to serve at the 2013 Taste of Tippecanoe.
"We're building up inventory for the beer that we're going to take down," People's owner Chris Johnson said. "We just finished work on our new beer trailer, so we'll have that down there with us as well."
People's brews will be available in the beer garden but brews won't be the only option.
"This year we're sort of bringing everything together into one beer garden," Johnson said. "The wineries will also be in there with us so we'll have a concentrated area where you go in and try different products that were made right here in Indiana."
"We're looking forward to sharing our wines with the community," Wildcat Creek Winery co-owner Kathy Black said. "This is our first time we've done the taste and we're bringing our crew and we're planning to have a good time."
So what's on the menu? People's will have five beers available. Wildcat Creek Winery will have six wines available. A variety of whites and reds, ranging from sweet to dry.
Both said they wanted drinks that were right for the season.
"We'll have mostly good summer selections," Johnson said about the beer selection. "We hope for great weather."
The two craft businesses said they're exited to highlight their unique product.
"It's Lafayette born and it's a tremendous industry whether you're talking about beer-making or wine-making I think it's very similar," Wildcat Creek co-owner Rick Black said.
Three Wise Men Brewery from Indianapolis will also be serving a variety of brews in the beer garden.
