WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A bed and breakfast in White County is making life easier for disabled guests.
Owners of The Lighthouse Lodge off Lake Shafer remodeled one of their cottages to allow better disabled accessibility.
They widened the doorways and installed new shower stalls.
Owners Bonnie and Michael Triplett say they want to make all guests feel welcome and happy.
"When you have a cottage that people are able to come to and function and be able to shower and sleep, they can get out of their car and roll right into the house without having to be pushed around," Bonnie said. "They are able to maneuver themselves."
The Tripletts held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the opening of the cottage.
The trees is up and the decorations are set. Visitors are getting a special look at the Haan Mansion as Christmas approaches.
