LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Drivers should prepare for another section of a historic Lafayette street to close this week.
Milestone Contractors, L.P., say starting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, crews will close the intersection of North and 11th streets in Lafayette.
The closure is all part of the restoration construction project being done on North Street.
The closure should last roughly 20 days.
A shooting on Lafayette's south side is under investigation.
It's been nearly a month since a tornado damaged Southwestern Middle School and Mintonye Elementary School, giving faculty the task of helping students transition to their new surroundings.
Donations are being accepted to help around 300 seniors receive a holiday gift.
