TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County Chapter of the American Red Cross has honored outstanding volunteers and community members.
On Wednesday, dozens of people were recognized for their service with the HEROES fundraiser campaign.
The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office, SIA, and Vision of Hope were given Good Neighbor awards.
Two West Lafayette Police officers were recognized for saving a life using CPR.
Volunteers received Shining Star and HEROES awards.
The annual fundraiser goes from March through May.
Volunteer, Leslie Ainley says the organization works to go above the call of service.
"We have this wonderful organization within the community that will come out to your place of business and train people on CPR and the use of an AED and can share similar success stories that we've experienced," said Ainley.
The American Red Cross has raised more than $102,000 through the HEROES campaign. Their goal was $80,000.
