LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - People with questions about the Affordable Care Act got some answers.
Franciscan Saint Elizabeth Health hosted an informational session about ACA Monday.
Some questions that were covered were how people receive coverage and how to sign up through the ACA website.
MDWise Outreach Consultant Jenna Strahm said the most popular question she has received is "how much does the new healthcare cost".
"That really depends on the individual because different people are going to be eligible for different kinds tax credits and different subsidies," Strahm said. "The best thing to do is to come out to one of these events, speak to someone like myself who's a licensed health insurance agent and can help walk them through the different options."
There will be a MDWise representative available in Lafayette to help answer questions and sign people up.
The representative will be at the Kathryn Weil Center for Education from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 to help enroll area residents.
A shooting on Lafayette's south side is under investigation.
It's been nearly a month since a tornado damaged Southwestern Middle School and Mintonye Elementary School, giving faculty the task of helping students transition to their new surroundings.
Donations are being accepted to help around 300 seniors receive a holiday gift.
