LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Preparations are underway for the 8th annual Radiothon from Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
WKOA's Annie and Shamus are working to prepare for this week's Radiothon this Wednesday and Thursday.
The morning duo will spend hours raising money and support for the nearly 240,000 children that call Riley home. Last year, K105 listeners donated $101,000.
"There's a lot of prep that goes into it. We get to interview some amazing families and Annie gets to put together some great montages," said Shamus.
Listeners helped raised $101,000 to make more happy endings happen.
It's been nearly a month since a tornado damaged Southwestern Middle School and Mintonye Elementary School, giving faculty the task of helping students transition to their new surroundings.
Donations are being accepted to help around 300 seniors receive a holiday gift.
Donations are needed for Food Finders Food Bank to aim at matching a grant that would match funds up to $20,000.
