WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - You may have been to your 10th, 20th or maybe even 30th high school reunion this summer, but what about 73rd?
Friday, members of the 1940 Rossville High School class gathered for their reunion.
Mary Frances Mansfield came up with the idea to have a homecoming for the reunion at Heritage Healthcare where she is a resident.
The staff helped her reach that goal.
To top it all off Mansfield and classmate Vernon Cripe were named Homecoming King and Queen.
"I've never been a queen before and I pray and hope that God is helping us because it's so nice," Mansfield said. "I do appreciate it."
"I'm surprised," Cripe said. "I never even thought of that."
The class graduated with 37. Mansfield says she believes 11 are still living. She would like her class to get together every couple months to celebrate.
