INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Colts team took John Boyett off the reserve list on Tuesday.
This is just days after the safety was arrested outside an Indianapolis bar. Boyett, 23, was yelling after he wasn’t allowed into a downtown bar for being too drunk. He ran from police officers saying “you can’t arrest me. I’m a Colts player.” Police also say he told an officer he would break his jaw.
Boyett is from Oregon. He was selected by the Colts in the sixth round (192nd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
While playing at Oregon, he appeared in 40 games (35 starts) over his career and totaled 278 tackles (182 solo), 30 passes defensed, 10 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and a half of a sack.
