SEYMOUR, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say the remains of skinned, decomposed bear have been found in a southern Indiana ditch.
Jackson County sheriff's Lt. Andy Wayman says a forensic specialist from the University of Indianapolis confirmed the remains are those of a bear that was mostly killed elsewhere, skinned and later dumped along a county road near Seymour.
The Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/18RO7QQ ) people walking in the area reported finding the remains Wednesday evening in the area about midway between Indianapolis and Louisville.
