Police still don't know how 10-year-old Tatyana Staten survived the bitter cold after running away from her home in the 4300 block of Elizabeth Street Friday.

In November, IMPD and child protective services responded to her home for an incident involving a 10-year-old.
The day before she went missing, Staten was suspended from school for stealing food from the teacher's lounge.
Thursday, the young girl spent the afternoon with a forensic interviewer who works with children who are victims of crime.
24-Hour-News 8 contacted the child's family. They declined to comment for the story.
