TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette woman was back in court Wednesday after a fatal crash earlier this year.
Elizabeth Wesner, 21, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance in the blood causing death and possession of a schedule III controlled substance.
In May, News 18 reported Donna Ubelhor, 73, was working in her yard when she was hit by Wesner's SUV and killed near the intersection of Commanche Trail and Brady Lane. Her neighbor was also injured.
Wesner's sentencing is set for Dec.16.
This is the third year for the Shop with a Cop program, in which officers take children shopping, spending up to $175 on clothing and toys for each child.
