AVILLA, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested an Avilla woman Sunday night after she allegedly beat a grandmother and the woman's grandchild until they were bleeding.
According to our partners in news, KPC , police went to Gina Clancy's home at 8:45 p.m. Sunday after a neighbor of Clancy's called to report a woman and child were covered with blood.
Police said the victims are a grandmother, age 60, and her grandchild, no age specified. Noble County EMS took the two victims to Parkview Noble Hospital at Kendallville for treatment of injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.
Officers said Clancy, 33, of Avilla, was charged with battery and neglect of a child.
Clancy is being held at the Noble County Jail without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court to face formal charges Monday.
